333 Fredericton Air Cadet Squadron was chartered on the 16th of October 1943 and was originally formed as a high school squadron. In 1958, Lord Beaverbrook, then Chancellor of the University of New Brunswick, gave the squadron permission to carry his name. A native of N.B., Lord Beaverbrook had been Minister of Aircraft Production in Winston Churchill’s cabinet during World War II. The Squadron was also named as the permanent custodian of Lord Beaverbrook’s personal coat of arms designed by Rudyard Kipling in 1917.

Sunday - Vimy Ridge Memorial Ceremony - April 09, 2017


When: Sunday, Apr 09 2017, 1:45pm - 2:30pm
Where: Provincial Cenotaph (Corner of Church St - Queen St)
Dress: C1 (Dress Shirt, Tie, Tunic, Pants, Boots, Wedge, Medals)

This event is mandatory participation for all Band Members. Cadets are to gather at the Provincial Cenotaph. We are expected to play O'Canada and God Save the Queen for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge Ceremony. Please ensure to review your Greenwood Parade Card this week and that your uniform is up to standard. If you are missing the necessary sheet music, you may obtain a copy this Friday night or Saturday morning. The ceremony will not be long; we recommend for parents to attend the ceremony.
