333 Fredericton Air Cadet Squadron was chartered on the 16th of October 1943 and was originally formed as a high school squadron. In 1958, Lord Beaverbrook, then Chancellor of the University of New Brunswick, gave the squadron permission to carry his name. A native of N.B., Lord Beaverbrook had been Minister of Aircraft Production in Winston Churchill’s cabinet during World War II. The Squadron was also named as the permanent custodian of Lord Beaverbrook’s personal coat of arms designed by Rudyard Kipling in 1917.

2Lt Hamel has graciously offered to come back in to conduct this activity.

These activities are open to all cadets. I hope to see everyone there!

Please Note:

Last week the cadets were told that they no longer need to wear masks in the armouries. Unfortunately we are required to adhere to what ever policy is in place in the facilities we are occupying, in this case the armouries require masks while indoors.

Proof of vaccination is no longer required at the door; however, we ask that your cadet remains home if they present symptoms of COVID-19 or has been in close contact with a case. We will continue to keep a contact tracing log; we will notify your cadet’s training cohort if a case has been identified during an activity. Sanitization of training aids and materials will continue along with high touch surfaces. Should you have any questions in relation to our COVID-19 safety measures, please let me know.

As you know, we have not had many opportunities this year for Fundraising. If you would like to support our Squadron, please feel free to bring in your recyclables on Friday nights! Our Squadron Sponsoring Committee has graciously offered to take recyclables over for the deposit. This is a great way to de-clutter the house and offer your bottles and cans for a great cause!
