333 Fredericton Air Cadet Squadron was chartered on the 16th of October 1943 and was originally formed as a high school squadron. In 1958, Lord Beaverbrook, then Chancellor of the University of New Brunswick, gave the squadron permission to carry his name. A native of N.B., Lord Beaverbrook had been Minister of Aircraft Production in Winston Churchill’s cabinet during World War II. The Squadron was also named as the permanent custodian of Lord Beaverbrook’s personal coat of arms designed by Rudyard Kipling in 1917.

 Good day everyone

Summer is upon us, which means that we can now turn to some much deserved rest & relaxation. I will not be updating the blog weekly until late August, when we are preparing to resume cadets. I will however, post any photos and significant events that our cadets are involved, during the summer (i.e. pics from CAP/CTC training or if there are any activities we partake in).

I wish to congratulate our cadets on their selection to the various CAP/CTC training and hope you have a blast. I have very many fond memories of my time at summer training as a cadet. Make the most of these opportunities.

I would like the parents to monitor their emails, especially for the next couple of weeks, as the summer training gets closer there are some cadets that decline or are unable to go to summer training. We have had, in the past, some of our cadets loaded on training at the last minute. As well if we will be attempting to conduct some activities throughout the summer break (maybe some bowling or the bucket club waterpark) so I will be posting to the blog, Facebook, and sending out an email, when these event are planned.

It is advised, for those cadets involved in summer training, to carry a hard copy with an electronic copy of their proof of vaccination when they report to their training.

Good luck and enjoy your summer.
