333 Fredericton Air Cadet Squadron was chartered on the 16th of October 1943 and was originally formed as a high school squadron. In 1958, Lord Beaverbrook, then Chancellor of the University of New Brunswick, gave the squadron permission to carry his name. A native of N.B., Lord Beaverbrook had been Minister of Aircraft Production in Winston Churchill’s cabinet during World War II. The Squadron was also named as the permanent custodian of Lord Beaverbrook’s personal coat of arms designed by Rudyard Kipling in 1917.

Weekly Activities

Cadets writing the flying scholarship entrance exam will be attending the flying scholarship weekend. Cadets are to be at building N-126 no later than 0745, dress for the weekend is C-4. Cadets are to complete the on-line open book exam before arriving for the weekend. Cadets can be picked up at 1630 on Saturday, and 1400 on Sunday.

Directions to access the on-line Open Book Exam:

1. Go to www.nbgliding.com and click on the homepage link to the quiz.

2. Enter your First and Last name in the boxes provided.

3. The access code for the quiz is cadets.

4. There is no time limit.

5. The test result will be shown as soon as the Finish Test button is clicked.

Junior Band:1600-1730.

Biathlon: 1600-1800.
