333 Fredericton Air Cadet Squadron was chartered on the 16th of October 1943 and was originally formed as a high school squadron. In 1958, Lord Beaverbrook, then Chancellor of the University of New Brunswick, gave the squadron permission to carry his name. A native of N.B., Lord Beaverbrook had been Minister of Aircraft Production in Winston Churchill’s cabinet during World War II. The Squadron was also named as the permanent custodian of Lord Beaverbrook’s personal coat of arms designed by Rudyard Kipling in 1917.

*Important* Band members requiring to bring an instrument from the Armoury for the Band Seminar (Saturday) and Santa Claus March (Sunday) must take their instruments home on Friday. The Armoury will not be open on Saturday for pick-up! 

Returning cadets who would like to purchase one or multiple name tags, the price is $2.00 ea. This is not for cadets who enrolled this year.

Saturday - Band Seminar - Nov 19 2016:


When: Saturday Nov 19 2016, 8:45am - 4:00pm
Where: Band Building (CTC Argonaut, CFB Gagetown)
Dress: C-3 (Blue Turtleneck Sweater, Tunic, Pants, Boots, Wedge) 


All band members are highly encouraged to participate to this year's seminar. We will only be attending the first day of the seminar due to prior fundraising engagements on Sunday. Cadets are to arrive no later than 8:45 am at the Argonaut Band Building and be picked up at 4:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. 


Band members who were looking to have practical / theory testing done will have a chance either before the Christmas break or early in the New Year. We are currently in talks to have music testing scheduled at the LHQ.  






Sunday - Santa Claus March Fundraiser (Mandatory Band Only) - November 20 2016


When: Sunday Nov 20 2016, 12:15pm - 1:45pm
Where: Regent Mall Back Entrance (Outside nook between Wal-Mart and Cineplex, stairs to the entrance is to the left) for Warm-Up and Instrument Case Drop-off.
Dress: C-1 (Dress Shirt, Tie, Tunic, Pants, Boots, Wedge, Medals)

Band members will help kickstart the holiday spirit by escorting Santa Claus through the Regent Mall from the Cineplex entrance to the Christmas Display near Wal-Mart. Step-off is at 1:00pm to march Santa to his set, we will play a few more Christmas pieces upon our arrival. Band Members are to arrive no later than 12:15 at the Regent Mall Administration Office for tuning; the event should be over by 1:45pm.  

*Important* Please practice your Christmas Music at home this week in preparation for this event. (Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, Rudolph, Jingle Bell Rock, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas)
